Wedding Photography Questions

+ We've seen your website and love your work! How do we book?

Send me an email with your wedding date so that I can pencil in your date and we'll arrange a meet up over Zoom so that we can chat and discuss your wedding in more detail. Then I will give you a copy of my photography contract to read and sign and upon return of a signed contract and 20% deposit you are booked in.

+ When do I need to book you?

NOW! You've got this far in to my FAQ's so if you haven't checked my availability yet then contact me ASAP. I only take on a certain amount of weddings each year to ensure I don't over-work myself and can give 100% to every couple!

+ How long after our wedding will we receive our photos?

I professionally edit every photo to ensure your wedding gallery is incredible! Your gallery will be ready to view online and the USB sent through the post in 4-6 weeks. In peak season, this may be slightly longer.

+ Do we get all the images you take?

Pretty much, yes! I take out duplicate images and images where people have their eyes shut etc. and then I edit the rest for you.

+ Do you design the albums?

Yes, I do. Once you receive your wedding images, I ask you to pick the images you'd like in your album and then I design the first proof. I then make any changes (if any) and send off the design to a luxury Italian album company who make the most beautiful albums. Because they are made to order this can take up to 10 weeks.

+ Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured! If your venue requests a copy of my public liability insurance certificate I can provide that to them.

+ What is an 'Engagement shoot' and should we do this?

Not used to being in front of the camera as a couple? Nope, thought not! Let's have a practice before the big day... we can go for a walk, get to know each other and have a laugh. Oh, and take a few photos. My sessions take place during the week in Harrogate.

+ Can our family and friends order prints and/or canvases directly from you?

Absolutely! Your friends and family can order prints, digital copies and more from the online gallery so make sure to send them the gallery after your wedding day so your photos can be splashed all over your friends' walls!

+ What happens if you are unable to attend our wedding last minute e.g. you get ill?

Do not panic! The wedding industry is a huge and friendly community and I am lucky enough to know lots of amazingly talented photographers so if the worst did happen then I have lots of friends that I can call upon to photograph your wedding for you and I would edit in my signature style.

+ Do you take the "formal" group shots and how long does this take?

Yes - there is always time for some formal shots, generally straight after the ceremony. I recommend keeping the list short (10 combinations or less) so that it doesn't take too long out of your day. I ask for a list of the formal shots you want ahead of time and ask that you delegate a member of your wedding party to help organise people on the day to make it run smoothly and quickly.

+ Are travel costs included in your packages?

Up to 1.5 hours away from Harrogate, yes. But if you want me to travel a little further, I would love to but there may be a slight additional charge to cover travel costs.

+ What happens if it rains?

Embrace it - it's meant to be good luck! I have shot weddings where it has rained before and it didn't spoil the day in the slightest. I don't mind getting wet so if you're prepared to brave the rain with an umbrella or under a shelter we can still get beautiful outdoor shots, if not we can do photos indoors.
